About the comments on the gallery.
We would like everyone to not look who posted an image before leaving a comment, instead look at an image and say what you like, don't like and so on. We are a small community so that shouldn't be that much to ask. People take alot of effort in their work and everyone deserves positive or negative feedback. This way we all can grow to get better at what we do. Call me a nutz but i do not like friends politics here and neither should anyone else if you ask me. Now we cannot make you do this of course , but this is what a community should be all about

I never look who posted an image, I always look wich images are new and wich of them I really like. You know that I say if something is wrong on your images, I think, but I don't know if really everyone want a bit 'critic'  to do it next time better. I don't want that someone get angry of this...

hmmm... my words are not the really best I think, but I hope you understand what I mean....

I don't have a look every time into the gallery when I'm in the board. Sometimes I'm only in the board, sometimes I only have a look into the gallery, have a look on all new images and give up an comment.

But ok,........................... if you say that is here a "fact", then I gave comments on every image.........  :)

Not saying people should comment on every image, but not look who posted it, like oh i know him so i give a comment if you know what i mean. Here on the community we should all be like family , well maybe that is to much to ask, but i think you know what i mean

I like to put little comments almost on all images even some i don't like.I always say that everybody need a little push and a good comment can give this push. When i start posting online i start with Rendo and after one month i want to delete my images cose nobody put a comment and than some people who now are very good friends start to comment and one of them Buzz point me to develop my one style. So now if i go on Rendo always i put a little comment on the newbies images. In the past i put some suggestions too but one of the members from a big site have a very hard opinion about my comment cose he was an old member and i was a newbie so i very rarely put some suggestions. If somebody ask for my help i gladly help.

Well even a newbie can say what they think, i love good comments. That is what we are here for, not only say bad things but say what you like and what you think could be better , in alot of cases people will agree if they look again. And if they don't like it they can just say so and that is fine to :)

I consider this topic as very useful. Now I know that *********  is not complete honest with his comments, I think it already broke something very valuable in this community. It is what you see often in communitys. People wants good comments themselves, so they comment positive on others their work. Totally wrong. If you don’t like an images, you don’t respond.

Maybe a good solution, If you like feedback, Negative or Positive put that in the description of the image. That is one way to say i want to get better at what i do and nobody has to have their ego cracked or how do you say that ? . Guess you know what i mean. Other Solution would be a seperate category/album called critque so when they see it is in that album one would know critique is wanted

Personally I think that’s kind a weird solution.  I think people should just be honest about what they say no matter what they say.

If I have to upload my images in that special folder, I don’t bother to upload anymore. Because every image should be commented after the opinion of the criticizer. Critics are never negative in my noble opinion, but feedback to use in a up building way. And if you don’t like to give honest opinions then you don’t comment at al.

I don’t think anyone profits/benefit from only positive comments like excellent, great work, nice mood

True, and for a small community it shouldn't be a problem if we are honoust of however that is spelled. I have learned alot by comments that said i like it , but if you do it that way or something like that. That is my whole point by opening this thread , not opened it to offend anyone.

I don’t see this thread as an offend to anyone. I think it is more offending when someone comments a image with a lie. I really don’t like that kind of mentality, and it shows out it happens.
It’s spoiling the purpose of a community like this.
We don’t have to be so horny over our own images that we can’t have some constructive feedback. I mean, if we where al Pro’s we would not have time to hang around here. But we all dream of come a bit further in what we do.

I can give a compliment to a picture that i think can see is wel done tecniquely, but i might not like the motive. I'll still tell that the work is well done. We have different tastes at experiences our works differently, there is nothing wrong in telling what you dont like about a pic either, so why not give credits for what we se..we dont have to say "i dont like your pic" if you all get my point....pictures are interesting and give one or another input..share that with the maker at least..in good and bad. It is also interesting and can be fun even a positive thing. :-))
Have a nice day
